Meet Paul Williamson, Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner with NuvoAir Medical
At NuvoAir Medical, we’re proud to introduce Paul J. Williamson, MSN, ACNP, RN, a highly experienced Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner based in Tucson, Arizona. With over 30 years of experience in pulmonology, respiratory therapy, nursing education, and patient care, Paul brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and compassionate support to patients managing complex lung conditions.
Paul’s career began in respiratory therapy before advancing into nursing and pulmonary specialty care. He earned an Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy from GateWay Community College in 1984, followed by a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Theology from Life Pacific University in 1990. After becoming an ordained minister in 1994, he continued his healthcare journey, completing a Master of Science in Nursing, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in 2002.
In 2013, Paul achieved his Doctorate of Nursing Education from Capella University, combining his clinical skills with his passion for teaching future nurses. He is licensed as both a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner by the Arizona State Board of Nursing, with additional credentials from the Arizona State Board of Respiratory Care.
Paul cares for patients with severe asthma, bronchiectasis, COPD, emphysema, pulmonary fibrosis, and other chronic respiratory conditions. At Banner University Medical Center’s Outpatient Clinic, he collaborates with subspecialty teams in Interstitial Lung Diseases, Pulmonary Hypertension, Adult Cystic Fibrosis, and General Pulmonology. His patients benefit from his deep expertise in complex lung disease management and his commitment to whole-person care.
